In the bathroom, the shower was replaced with a whirlpool bath, and the washbasin cabinet was reduced from a double to a single sink. New fronts were made from the remnants of the old cabinet, with all plumbing neatly concealed, including provisions for the whirlpool bath’s air supply and the siphon.

The cabinet is fully extendable under the sink, making future maintenance of the plumbing easy. The interior and drawers are made of waterproof MDF (RAL 9010, scratch-resistant finish). The meranti section above the bath conceals a protruding pipe and a rough sawn edge, finished neatly with paintwork.
