To create a more spacious living room, a breakthrough was made in a concrete load-bearing wall, with an additional sightline window in a non-structural wall. A new rear façade was also installed facing the balcony.

A large built-in cupboard was removed, which involved relocating the meter cupboard from the living room to the kitchen, resulting in significantly more space. On the other side, an industrial look was created by cladding the wall and built-in cupboard with Viroc, a wood fibre-concrete panel.

The living room was finished with various dimmable lighting solutions to create a warm and flexible atmosphere.
