A two-storey apartment renovated for photographer and interior architect Marjan van Herpen.

The functions were reversed: sleeping and bathing downstairs, living and cooking upstairs. A walkable glass floor allows daylight to penetrate to the landing.

​

On my advice, a warm roof was applied, which kept the original beams visible and created additional headroom. The brick rear façade was replaced by a steel frame from our own workshop with good insulation.

​

The bathroom was given an 80’s retro look, with white tiles and a concrete floor.
